Terms of Service
Last updated: October 25, 2026
1. Who these terms are between
These terms are an agreement between you and Furnace ("we", "us") covering your use of the Furnace launcher and this website. By downloading, installing, or using Furnace, you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, do not use the software.
2. What Furnace is
Furnace is a launcher for Minecraft: Java Edition on Windows. It manages game files, mods, Java runtimes, and your settings on your own PC. A Minecraft account is required to launch the game, and that account is governed by Mojang's and Microsoft's own terms.
3. Subscriptions and billing
- Furnace costs 3.99 USD per month, or 34.99 USD per year.
- Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period until you cancel.
- Payment is taken in advance through our payment provider. We do not store your card details.
- You can cancel at any time. When you cancel, your access continues to the end of the period you already paid for, and no further charges are made.
- If we change the price, we will tell you before the change takes effect. You can cancel before the new price applies.
4. Refunds
We refund charges within 14 days of the payment date. The full details are in the Refund Policy, which forms part of these terms.
5. Your Microsoft account
Signing in uses a Microsoft account that owns Minecraft: Java Edition. Furnace never asks for your password directly; Microsoft handles the sign-in. You are responsible for keeping your own account secure.
6. Acceptable use
- Do not use Furnace to break Mojang's or Microsoft's rules, including rules about piracy, cheating on servers, or account sharing.
- Do not attempt to bypass the subscription check or the sign-in process.
- Do not resell, sublicense, or redistribute Furnace as your own product.
- Do not reverse engineer the software except where the law says you may.
7. Third-party services
Furnace talks to services we do not control: Microsoft and Xbox Live for sign-in, Mojang for game files, Modrinth for the mod browser, and Adoptium for Java runtimes. Their availability and their terms are outside our control.
8. Ownership
Furnace belongs to us. Minecraft belongs to Mojang. Furnace is an independent product and is not approved by or associated with Mojang Studios or Microsoft.
9. No warranty
Furnace is provided "as is". We work to keep it stable, but we do not promise it will run without interruption or that it will work on every configuration. To the extent the law allows, we exclude implied warranties.
10. Limit of liability
To the extent the law allows, our total liability for any claim relating to Furnace is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, such as lost data or lost playtime. Nothing here limits rights you have under mandatory consumer law.
11. Ending the agreement
You can stop using Furnace at any time. We can suspend or end your access if you break these terms, for example by attempting to bypass payment.
12. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms when the product or the law changes. The date at the top of this page shows when it last changed. Continuing to use Furnace after a change means you accept the updated terms.
13. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of [your country or state], without regard to conflict of law rules. Mandatory consumer protections in your country of residence still apply.
